Minecraft Dungeons II releases September 29, 2026 on Windows, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. On Xbox and PC, subscribers get another way in beyond a direct purchase.
Day One on Game Pass
Minecraft Dungeons II launches day one on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Xbox Wire confirmed the game as part of its September 2026 Game Pass wave announcement, so subscribers on either of those plans can play it the moment it releases without buying it separately.
Xbox Play Anywhere
The game also supports Xbox Play Anywhere. The Xbox Store lists it with the line “buy once, play on Xbox console and PC for no additional cost,” meaning a single purchase unlocks the game on both an Xbox console and a Windows PC under the same account. If you buy the game instead of playing through Game Pass, you don’t need to pick between the Xbox and PC versions.
