How are the 1 to 5 scores worked out?
Each item in a loadout earns 1 point (a minor effect) or 2 points (a major effect) on the axes its listed effect touches. We add up the points for every equipped weapon, armor piece, artifact, talisman and enchantment, then turn the total into a score.
| Points on the axis | 0 | 1 to 3 | 4 to 6 | 7 to 9 | 10 or more |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Score | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 |
| Axis | What earns points |
|---|---|
| Damage | Bonus damage, crit effects, extra projectiles, damaging artifacts and enchantments. |
| Crowd control | Knockback, freezes, chains, pulls and artifacts that shorten a fight by disabling enemies. Cooldown reducers add a point because most artifacts are control tools. |
| Survivability | Evade, deflect, reflect, healing over time, shields and max health. |
| Mobility | Extra dodge charges, roll cooldown, speed boosts and movement bonuses. |
| Team support | Buffs and heals that reach allies, longer status effects and placed totems. |
The scores describe what a loadout is built to do, not a measured result. They will change as item numbers are published, and the grade, which also weighs how much evidence exists, can change with them.
What do the grades mean?
| Grade | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Grade S tier · Top pick | Strongest build the evidence supports. Every part of the loadout has a listed effect and players single out the core mechanic. |
| Grade A tier · Great | Reliable and well supported. It leans on demonstrated synergies and only has a few caveats. |
| Grade B tier · Solid | Works on paper and has real synergies, but the payoff depends on numbers or drops nobody has tested yet. |
| Grade C tier · Unproven | Fun and plausible, but too little is measurable to recommend over the others. It moves up when data appears. |
Where do these builds come from?
Two places. The first is what players recommended while playing early builds, mostly the Rocket and Horn pair, jump attacks and the co-op tools. The second is the item data itself: we looked for effects that stack, like three separate crit sources or armor that shortens artifact cooldowns. Nothing here is a stress-tested launch result, so treat grades as a starting point and check them against your own runs.
