A-tier support pick

The co-op support build for Minecraft Dungeons 2 carries a Banner, a Picnic Basket and a healing totem, and stretches every buff you give. It will not top the damage chart, and that is the point: your friends stay alive and hit harder.

How strong is the Banner and Basket Co-op Support?

DamageControlSurvivalMobilityTeam
Grade A tier · Great

Why this grade: Group play is the game's core pitch and the tools are real: a melee-buff Banner, a shared-food Basket and healing wells. It is graded A rather than S because none of it helps you solo, and its numbers come from launch data only.

How do you play the Banner and Basket Co-op Support?

Team engine. You do modest damage and keep everyone topped up, buffed and on their feet. The build stretches positive effects through the Hivemind Hardhat and rewards playing in a group.

  1. Set the totem firstDrop Totem of Regeneration before the fight starts, somewhere the team will stand. It is a placed effect, so position beats timing.
  2. Banner on the first engageUse the Banner as the melee players commit. The Hardhat makes the buff last 70% longer, so one use covers most of the opening.
  3. Potion as a healing wellDrink a potion when someone needs it. Buddy Brew and Barrier Brew both leave wells that help everyone nearby.
  4. Basket before the hard phaseDrop the Picnic Basket early in a boss fight, not while things are exploding. Players say food on the floor is the simplest recovery.
  5. Poke from behindBetween cooldowns, use Creaking's Reach from range and revive fallen allies. Group revives are much faster than solo ones.

Where does the Banner and Basket Co-op Support shine and struggle?

Strengths

  • Makes every teammate's build better
  • Several heal sources, so no single cooldown decides a fight
  • Fast revives when the whole group helps
  • Fits four-player boss fights, where healing matters most

Weaknesses

  • Low personal damage, so solo clears are slow
  • Depends on teammates standing near the totem and Basket
  • Numbers for Banner's buff are not published

What is the Banner and Basket Co-op Support's job in co-op?

Dedicated support. Take this when your group already has a melee damage dealer and a ranged player, and bring it to bosses. In a pair, run it with a bruiser and let them do the killing.

Quick answers about the Banner and Basket Co-op Support

Is a support build worth it in a two-player group?

Yes, if the other player commits to damage. With two, you keep them alive and buffed while they finish enemies.

Does Banner stack with other buffs?

It buffs teammates' melee attacks, and the Hivemind Hardhat lengthens it. Whether it stacks with a second Banner is not documented.

What is the best boss-fight use of the Basket?

Place it right before the hardest phase. Players like it because food on the floor recovers health without anyone leaving the fight.

Not confirmed yet for the Banner and Basket Co-op Support
