Minecraft Dungeons 2 biomes and regions

Launch-week info, last checked . We update this page as patches and new data land.

Short answer

Minecraft Dungeons 2 has five named Overworld biomes, the Deep Dark beneath them and a new dimension called the Sift, and the campaign walks through them in a fixed order. Each region below links to what lives there: mobs, bosses, quests and loot.

Which regions have their own guide?

In what order do you visit the regions?

Which regions are listed without a full guide yet?

These places exist in the game but our sources say too little for a real page. They will get one when there is something to say.

  • Humbler Huskland

Reached through the Musical Gate from Singer's Meadow. The campaign has you tear down Illager banners here.

Not confirmed yet: No mob list, boss or loot table is published for this region yet. The Carapace Explorer achievement (enter a humbler husk) hints at giant husk structures, but the details are unconfirmed.

  • Lullaby Hills

The last Sift region. Three guarded Illager machines are hurting the land, and you wake the echo golems here.

Not confirmed yet: Launch data lists only echo golems as native mobs. Story details around The Final Souldown quest come from guides and are not on official pages.

  • Illager Stronghold

The Illager High Council's home turf, and the last stop before the ending.

Not confirmed yet: Layout, mobs and bosses are not documented in our sources. Which final boss is fought here is in dispute; see the Deep Dark page.

  • Ancient City

An underground city listed in the launch data. Nothing beyond its existence is documented.

Not confirmed yet: No mobs, quests or loot are documented, and its link to the Deep Dark is speculation.

  • Echo Den

A named Sift location tied to the Guardian of the Golems achievement, where Illagers camp near friendly echo golems.

Not confirmed yet: The launch data has nothing beyond its name, and no map position is given.

  • The Carapace

A desert-like Sift biome full of huge bone structures, named by the developers alongside the Meadows.

Not confirmed yet: Sculk mages and sculk slashers are listed here, but no quests, sub-areas or loot are published. Where it sits in the campaign order is not stated.
