Mojang and Xbox have shown off a lot of Minecraft Dungeons II gear across the Games Showcase demo, the gamescom 2026 hands-on and the August gameplay trailer, but most of it has been shown as systems rather than a named catalog. Here’s exactly what’s confirmed, what’s only a functional description without a name yet, and what to ignore until Mojang says otherwise.

What weapon slots does Minecraft Dungeons 2 confirm?

Every build carries one melee weapon and one ranged weapon, the same two-slot split as the first game. Each weapon type now gets its own unique jump attack, tied to the new jump ability, so the weapon you carry changes what jumping does in a fight, not just how you swing on the ground. That split is also the starting point for our build plans, since a melee or ranged lean shapes the rest of a loadout before any specific item is named.

Has Mojang named any specific weapons yet?

Yes, two: the Sword and the Bow, both shown equipped in the build Xbox demoed at gamescom 2026, where the sword handled close-range finishers and the bow covered ranged damage. Beyond those two, Mojang’s own articles and trailers describe weapon variety in general terms rather than naming a full roster.

Weapon names circulating on fan wikis and preview roundups go well beyond these two, but none of that came from Mojang’s own text or an Xbox Wire post, so we list them separately in the “Not confirmed yet” table below.

What armor pieces are confirmed?

Armor is now four separate pieces instead of the original’s single slot: a helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots, each with its own enchantment sockets and stat modifiers. Minecraft.net’s systems article also confirms items can roll random effects, so two pieces of the same type won’t always play the same.

What are talismans and which one has Mojang shown?

Talismans are a new passive-bonus gear type, worn in three dedicated slots, and they level up the more you use them instead of coming pre-rolled. The one Mojang has named and demoed is a bone talisman that summons a combat dog companion, shown at the June Xbox Games Showcase.

What are artifacts and how do they work?

Artifacts are active, cooldown-based abilities that cost Souls, the game’s mana-equivalent resource earned from defeating enemies, and they fill three dedicated slots separate from talismans. Xbox’s demos have shown artifacts in use but, like most weapons, without confirming individual names yet.

What enchantment effects has Mojang shown, even unnamed?

A few enchantment effects have been demoed functionally without a confirmed name attached. At the Games Showcase, one enchantment gave a chance to leave healing spots on the ground when you killed enemies. At gamescom, Xbox Wire described enchantments that add an extra dodge roll charge, fire an arrow when you dodge, and set arrows alight. All four are confirmed to exist; none has a confirmed name yet.

What bosses have been shown, for context on gear checks?

Two: the Twisted Warden, described by Xbox Wire as a supersized, extra-powerful version of the Warden enemy, and the Copper Monstrosity, a hulking copper boss with lightning AoE attacks and full-arena dashes. Both were built around testing a full loadout rather than a single stat, which is part of why Mojang is holding back a numbers-heavy weapon list until launch, and why a real builds tier list isn’t possible yet either.

Quick FAQ

Is there a full weapon list for Minecraft Dungeons 2? Not from Mojang. Only the Sword and Bow have been named in official materials; everything else has been shown as a system (melee slot, ranged slot, armor pieces) rather than an itemized catalog.

Can I trust weapon lists with dozens of named items on other sites? Treat them as unofficial until Mojang or Xbox names those items directly. We track the most-reported names in the “Not confirmed yet” table below. Fan wikis and preview roundups often name items from gameplay footage or datamining, which is a different bar than an official confirmation.

Do talismans replace artifacts? No. Talismans are passive and level up with use; artifacts are active, cost Souls, and go on cooldown. A full loadout uses three of each.

Will this list update after launch? Yes. Once the game is out on September 29, 2026, we’ll rebuild this into a full verified item database instead of a pre-launch confirmation tracker.

These weapon names show up in previews, footage breakdowns and fan wikis, but Mojang and Xbox haven’t named them in any official text yet. We’re listing them so you know what’s being talked about, not as confirmed items. Names, types and stats can all change at launch.
