How do talismans level up?
Wearing a talisman levels it. Talismans level through XP gained while equipped, and level 3 is the cap. Level 1 to 2 takes 18,480 XP, and level 2 to 3 takes 73,920 XP, for 92,400 XP in total. Swap fresh talismans in so they can catch up. Merchants do not sell levels.
Scaling shows in the numbers. Fist of Iron goes 10%, 20%, then 35% more melee damage. Sigil of Beeswax goes from 20% to 35% more max health, and Looter’s Charm from 1% to 4% extra drops. Early on a talisman you just found is weaker than the one you have worn for hours, so give a promising one time before judging it.
How do talisman slots work?
Talismans have their own slots, separate from the three artifact slots and from armor. Players report three talisman slots, and the starter talisman adds 20% max health. Bonuses you gain also apply to your pets, according to players who run companions.
There is no set bonus for matching armor yet, so talisman choice is where you specialize. Fill every slot, even with something modest. An empty slot lowers your item power more than a weak talisman does.
Which talismans fit which build?
Pick one talisman per job instead of stacking near-duplicates.
Which talismans suit damage builds?
Fist of Iron adds up to 35% melee damage and stacks with other damage buffs, so it suits every melee build. Thrifty Pendant gives up to 25% more damage as your emeralds climb toward 7000, which pays off if you stockpile. Ocelot’s Paw boosts jump attacks, the move our jump-attack bruiser is built around.
Which talismans suit tanks?
Armadillo Amulet cuts roll cooldown by 20%, and rolling is your main defense. Add Healing Heart for 2% health per second after five quiet seconds, and Sigil of Beeswax for max health. Golem Kit summons a golem that shields you, and the reflect wall tank runs it.
Which talismans suit support builds?
Sculk Badge extends positive statuses by 15%, which matters when your buffs go to the whole party. Healing Heart and Sigil of Beeswax keep the healer standing. The banner and basket support build uses all three.
Which talismans suit summoner builds?
Tasty Bone summons a wolf, Golem Kit a golem and Prickle’s Mark the Prickle companion. Companion gear such as Fly Agaric Trousers (+40% companion damage) multiplies them. Our dog companion guide covers how the wolf fights, and the pack leader build stacks all three summons.
Which talismans suit artifact and soul builds?
Soul Chip adds 15% more Soul capacity, and Twisted Tooth raises souls gained. Players report Twisted Tooth winning for artifact spam. Essence of Efficiency only trims artifact cooldown by 4%, so only take it if a slot is free.
Which talismans suit loot builds?
Lucky Clover and Looter’s Charm raise drop chances, but the numbers are small. Lucky Clover gives 2%, 4% and 7% by level. Our loot gear guide says where the bigger loot gains come from.
